Workspace secrets

Keys and tokens that automations and the agent use by name. The value is stored encrypted and never shows on screen.

What a secret is

An API key, a token or a number an automation needs to talk to another service. You store it once under a name — for example, WHATSAPP_PHONE — and Prophet uses it by that name. The value is encrypted and never comes back to the screen, not even for whoever added it.

Sign in and open: Open Settings → Secrets

Add a secret

  1. Open Settings → Secrets, in the Workspace group
  2. Click Add secret
  3. Type the Name: capital letters, numbers and _, starting with a letter, up to 100 characters
  4. Paste the Value and, if you like, a Description saying what it is for. Save

In the list

  • Each secret shows by name, with Used… or Never used
  • Some show what uses them — for example, WhatsApp alerts
  • Replace opens the value field always empty: the current value never shows. Type the new one to replace it
  • Delete asks for confirmation. Automations and the agent that use that key stop working until you add it again
  • A name that already exists is not overwritten by accident: use Replace on its row

In a team

Secrets belong to the workspace

In a team workspace, the list is the same for everyone, and the team's automations can use any of them by name.

Members add, the owner replaces

A member can add new secrets. Only the owner replaces the value of, or deletes, a secret that already exists.

What does not go here

Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, Slack and other apps with their own sign-in do not use secrets: they connect in Settings → Connections, through each app's official sign-in.
