Your first task

Five minutes: open a task, ask for something real and follow Prophet as it works.

Step 1 — Open a task

  1. Click Tasks in the sidebar, or the + at its top (New Task, shortcut ⌘J)
  2. The request field sits at the top of the dashboard. Write in any language you like — Prophet replies in the language of your message

Sign in and open: Open the dashboard

Step 2 — Pick a type and ask for something concrete

The picker to the left of the field has six types: Task, Campaign, Find leads, Client, Meeting and Automation. To start, Task works for any request. Three examples that work well:

Research

«Research the company Stripe and summarize its business model, competitors and the typical pains of its buyers.»

Writing

«Write a follow-up email to everyone who joined yesterday's meeting, in a direct tone, with the three next steps.»

Meeting

Pick Client or Meeting in the picker, choose the client and ask: «Prepare a briefing for tomorrow's 10am call.»

What the field's «+» offers

  • Add files or photos — attachments Prophet reads together with the request
  • Context — a client, a meeting, a campaign or a Knowledge document (one of each kind). Typing @ in the text opens the same list
  • How to do it — the Worker that will answer, the apps it may use, Advanced mode (thinks deeper and spends more credits; available on paid plans) and Use memory

Step 3 — Follow the work

The task opens as a conversation. While Prophet works, you see each step on the timeline. Click a step to open the task's computer, which has three tabs:

  • Actions — what each tool received and returned
  • Files — the files it created, to open or download
  • Browser — the sites it is visiting

Step 4 — Refine in the same conversation

Keep writing in the same task: «keep only the ones in New York», «now put it in a spreadsheet». Prophet keeps the conversation's context and you don't need to repeat the request.
