Adding a client
Two minutes. A client brings its briefing, files, meetings and opportunities together in one place.
When to add one
Add a client whenever you will do more than one thing for them. A one-off request can live in a task. But if there will be recurring meetings, campaigns, deliverables and follow-ups, make it a client — everything that happens afterwards goes into its page.
How to add one
- Open Clients in the sidebar and click New client
- Fill in the Website (optional, but it helps the most), the Name (required) and the Company
- With a valid website, the button becomes Create and read the website. Without one, it is Create client
Prophet reads the website
If you gave a website, the page opens with Reading the website… and then Profile updated from the website, with how many fields it filled — industry, size, location and whatever else the site says. You review and fix what you like. To read it again later, use Refresh from website in the page header.
Edit and archive
Name, company and status are edited right in the page header. To archive, change the status to Archived: the client leaves the active list and keeps all its history. Archived clients are under Archived on the Clients page, and come back by changing the status again.
